NOTIFICATION
It is hereby notified for information of all concerned that the 9th Convocation of the University for the students who graduated in 2005(for LL.B. and M.B.B.S only), 2006 & 2007 will be held on 29th January 2008 at 2.P.M. in Assam University campus at Dargakona.
Students of Assam University may collect printed application forms for attending the Convocation from the Principals of G.C. College, Silchar, Karimganj College, Karimganj, S.S. College, Hailakandi, Haflong Govt. College, Haflong, Diphu Govt. College, Diphu, Silchar Medical College and Hospital, Silchar and at Assam University cash counter from 20th December 2007 to 7th January 2008 on all working days between 11A.M. and 2.P.M..The cost of application form is Rs.10/- only. Outstation candidates may apply to the Controller of Examinations indicating Name, Father’s name, Mother’s names, Year of Passing, Degree to be received, University Registration number, Examination Roll number etc. enclosing photocopies of the Registration card and Mark sheet. Application forms may also be downloaded from the website www.assamuniversity.nic.in. Filled in application form duly countersigned by the Principal of the College/Head of the Department last attended along with the required fee of Rs.800/- in the form of Draft/ Banker’s cheque drawn in favour of the Finance Officer, Assam University on SBI, NIT Branch Silchar / UCO Bank Assam University Branch should be submitted to the Controller of Examinations, AUS latest by 08-01-2008. Downloaded form will be accompanied with the DD for Rs. 810/-
Please note that application received after the due date shall not be considered under any circumstances nor shall incomplete application be entertained.
The rehearsal for the candidates taking part in the Convocation will be held on 28th Jan 2008. at 1.30 P.M. in the University campus at Dargakona.
