Departmental Profile:
The
Department of Business Administration (DBA) under the School of
Management Studies, Assam University started functioning in July
1997. The mission of the department is to contribute --- through
the pursuit of excellence in teaching and other creative and
innovative academic endeavors’ pertaining to management education,
research, consultancy and training --- to the
process of developing capable human and managerial resources and
thereby to the corporate, industrial, entrepreneurial, economic,
social, intellectual and cultural development of Assam and the
rest of India. To accomplish its mission, the department offers
AICTE-approved full-time Master of Business Administration (MBA) programme
and also research programme in
management leading to the Degree of Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.).
Only MAT Qualified students with good academic career ( at least
50% marks in graduation level) are eligible for admission to this
course.
