 For the post of Professor in Humanities, Social Sciences, Sciences, Commerce, Education, Physical Education, Foreign Languages and Law:

An eminent scholar with published work of high quality actively engaged in research work, with 10 years of experience in postgraduate teaching, and /or experience in research at the University /National Level institutions.

 

OR

An outstanding scholar with established reputation who has made significant contribution to Knowledge.

 

 

For the post of Reader in Humanities, Social Sciences, Sciences, Commerce, Education, Physical education, Foreign Languages and Law:

Good academic record with a doctoral degree or equivalent published work .In addition to these ,candidates who join from outside the university system ,shall also possess at least 55%of the marks or an equivalent grade of B in the 7point scale with latter grades O,A,B,C,D,E, and F at the Master degree level.

 

Five years of experience of teaching and /or research excluding the period spent for obtaining the research degree and has made some mark in the areas of scholarship as evidenced by quality of publications ,contribution to educational innovation, design of new courses and curricula.

 

 

For the post of Lecturer in Humanities, Social Sciences, Sciences, Foreign Languages and Law:

Good academic record with at least 55% of the marks or an equivalent grade of B in the 7 point scale with latter grades O, A, B, C, D, E & F at the Masters degree level, in the relevant subject from an Indian University, or, an equivalent degree from a foreign university.

Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, candidates should have cleared the eligibility test (NET) for Lecturer conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC.

 

Note: 1) NET shall remain the compulsory requirement for appointment as Lecturer for those with post graduate degree. However, the candidates having Ph.D. degree in the concerned subject are exempted from NET for PG level and UG level teaching. The candidates having M. In the case of Universities/Universities departments and those institutes offering PG Programmes /Research, PhD is a must. For candidates from Industry/Professional experience in R&D and Patents would be desirable requirements failing which the increments will be stopped until PhD is earned

Candidates from Industry / Profession with First Class Bachelors Degree/First Class Masters degree in the appropriate branch of Engineering/ Technology

And

 Professional work which is significant and can be recognized as equivalent to Ph.D. degree and with 2 years experience at a position equivalent to lecturer level would also be eligible.

Ph.D. Degree with First Class degree at Bachelors or Masters level in the appropriate branch of Engineering /Technology with 10 years experience in Teaching /Industry/Research out of which 5 years must be at the level of Assistant Professor and/ or equivalent.

Candidates from Industry/ Profession with Masters Degree in Engineering/ Technology and with professional work which is significant and can be recognized as equivalent to Ph.D. Degree and with 10 years Industrial/Professional experience of which at least 5 years should be at a Senior Level comparable to that of a Reader/ Assistant Professor would also be eligible.

 

 

Note: 2. If a class /division is not awarded at B.E. /B.Tech or M.E./M.Tech./Equivalent degree, a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate shall be considered equivalent to 1st class /division. 1.      A Post-Graduate degree with at least 55% marks or its equivalent grade.

 

 

2.      At least 15 years of experience as Lecturer and Reader of which at least 8 years should be in Readers grade with experience of educational administration.

Comparable experience in research establishments and other institutions of higher education.

 

Or

 

15 years of administrative experience of which 8 years as Deputy Registrar/Deputy Controller of Examination or an equivalent post.

Desirable: Working experience in a University/Educational Institute of repute and Knowledge of computer application.

 

(2) Finance Officer:

1.      Chartered Accountant with at least five years experience as such.

Accounts Officer in the office of the Comptroller and Auditor General of India with at least 10 years experience as such.

Important Notes & Instructions

 

 

1. Candidates in service should submit application through proper channel or enclose NO OBJECTION CERTIFICATE, from their present employer, an advance copy may however be sent directly.  Application received after stipulated date or incomplete will not be entertained and shall be rejected; no further correspondence will be made in this regard.

2. University reserves the right to shortlist the applications and call for interview whenever interview is held. Mere submission of application form does not confer any right to the candidate to be called for interview.

3. University reserves the right to consider names of suitable candidates who may not apply formally.

4.If there is any change in the address after submission of application , the candidates should in his/her own interest arrange with the post office concerned for redirection of the communication from old to new address.

5. Separate application is required to be submitted for each Post.

6. All candidates irrespective of community will be considered for UR vacancy. However, against specific reserved community quota, only candidates of that particular community will be considered. Please note - (a) Caste certificate from competent authority for SC, ST, & OBC candidates in the prescribed format have to be produced. PWD candidates claiming the benefits of reservations should submit a copy of Medical Certificate as specified in the disabilities Act of 1995 in support of their disability.  (b) If the candidates wish to be considered against a specific community quota and tick the community column accordingly, their application will be rejected unless proof of community in the prescribed format is enclosed.(c) Any subsequent representation for change of community status will not be entertained under any circumstances.(d)Age Relaxation for Non Teaching  Non tenure post   Age relaxation  of 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC and 10 years for  PWD (15 years for SC/ST and 13 years for OBC) is available for all non-teaching non tenure post.

7. Reservation is available for Persons with disabilities under section 33 of the Persons with Disabilities (Equal Opportunities, Protection of Rights & full Participation) Act, 1995. As reservation for physically challenged candidates is on horizontal basis, the selected candidates will be placed in the appropriate category (viz SC/ST/OBC/PWD/UR)

8. The application form should be written and signed by the candidate only.

9. Application once made will not be allowed to be withdrawn and fees once paid will NOT be refunded on any account nor can it be held in reserve for any other purpose.

10. Reservation for OBCs shall not apply certain person/sections as mentioned in Govt of India Deptt of Personnel Training OM No 36012/22/93-Estt SCT dated 8.9.1993 as amended from time to time. Reservation for OBC is applicable only to those mentioned in Central List of OBCs as mentioned in OM No 12011/68/93-BCC ( C ) dated 10.09.1993 and as amended from time to time.

11. Those candidates who will be called and attend for interview for the post of Professor and equivalent will be reimbursed first class/AC III tire train fare through shortest route and those who will be called and attend for interview for the post of Reader & Lecturer and or equivalent will be paid III tire Sleeper class train fare through shortest route on production of relevant tickets only.
